William F. DeLuca Jr. MD
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
With 40 years of experience, the difference is in the details.
“A first-class plastic surgeon should be dedicated, first and foremost, to achieving the most aesthetically pleasing and natural results possible through meticulous attention to detail, technical expertise, and most importantly, a true and trusted eye for beauty.”
– Dr. William F. DeLuca, MD
Career Experience
William F. DeLuca Jr. MD began his career as a certified plastic surgeon in Albany over 35 years ago. Prior to private practice, Dr. DeLuca spent nearly nine years training directly alongside several of the most noted plastic surgeons in the world at the time, including Dr. Thomas Rees and Dr. Sherrell J. Aston. Dr. DeLuca specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. He has dedicated his career to achieving the most pleasing and natural results possible.
Dr. DeLuca is certified by both the American Board of Surgery (1983) and the American Board of Plastic Surgery (1987).
Achievements in Education and Training
Dr. DeLuca obtained his plastic surgery training at the two most prestigious institutions for plastic surgery doctors at the time: Eastern Virginia Medical College, a preeminent program for developing techniques in breast reconstruction, and Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Nose Hospital, where he served as one of the last fellows of Dr. Thomas Rees, the most noted cosmetic surgeon of his generation. In addition to his extensive training and education in medicine and surgery, Dr. DeLuca was also a Rufus Choate Scholar at Dartmouth College and graduated Magnum Cum Laude. For his secondary education, he attended Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Massachusetts.
“Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intentions, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skilled execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.”
— William A. Foster
Certification and Charitable Work
Dr. DeLuca is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), and the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. DeLuca’s charity work with Operation SMILE has taken him to Africa and the Southern Philippines, the latter being only the second such mission organized by the nonprofit.
The Plastic Surgery Team
Dr. DeLuca has plastic surgery privileges with all the major Tri-City (Albany, Schenectady, and Troy) hospitals, but he performs the vast majority of his procedures at St. Peter’s Ambulatory Center at 1375 Washington Avenue in Albany, NY. His personally trained and tightly knit team of nurses and assistants combine to create a surgical experience that is regarded not only for the quality of aesthetic results but patient safety and comfort as well. Dr. DeLuca’s extensive surgical experience, amassed over a career that has seen thousands of unique and challenging cases, is perhaps the greatest contributing factor to his consistently optimal results and extremely low post-op complication rate.
A Trusted Plastic Surgery Doctor
What many patients believe distinguishes Dr. DeLuca the most are the reviews, recommendations, and referrals from former patients who find him to be a caring, thoughtful, and gifted plastic surgeon, deeply committed to providing sound advice, proper consultation, and naturally beautiful results that consistently surpass expectations.
