A more complete lift is not automatically the better choice.
Continuing the incision around the back can improve posterior skin laxity, but the lift also pulls the buttocks upward. In some patients, that change can place the buttocks in a higher or less natural-looking position. The effect depends on the amount of loose skin, tissue distribution, incision placement and the shape you want to preserve.
For that reason, it may be better to begin with an extended CoreComplete 2 or 3 procedure, allow the abdomen and sides to heal, and then reassess the back and buttocks. Staging avoids committing to the posterior lift before you know whether the remaining looseness is worth the added scar and change in buttock position.
