What happens during a cosmetic consultation?
During your consultation, the surgeons of DeLuca Plastic Surgery will discuss your aesthetic goals, review your concerns, and explain which treatment or surgical options may make sense. The goal is to combine experience, judgment, and a detailed eye for proportion so you can make a more informed decision.
For some patients, the answer is surgery. For others, a non-surgical treatment, staged plan, or no procedure may be more appropriate. A good consultation should clarify what is realistic, what the tradeoffs are, and what your next step should be.
Your visit is built around anatomy, goals, and fit.
Goals
What you want to change, what you want to preserve, and what result would feel natural to you.
Anatomy
Skin quality, tissue position, volume, proportions, scars, asymmetry, and procedure-specific factors.
Options
Whether surgery, injectables, laser treatment, skin treatment, or a staged plan makes the most sense.
For breast implant planning: digital three-dimensional computer simulations may be used when appropriate to help guide implant choices and visualize possible outcomes.
Cosmetic consultations and insurance-based visits are different.
Cosmetic consultations are focused on elective aesthetic goals and personalized treatment planning. Pricing, procedure options, expected recovery, and surgical timing can be reviewed based on your goals and anatomy.
For reconstructive or functional concerns, DeLuca Plastic Surgery accepts many insurance plans, including Medicare, MVP, CDPHP, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Functional visits may be billed to insurance when appropriate and generally do not require a referral.
